Perky perky sales shop staff really do suck the big one. I could do without the ones that turn their noses up at me, but even worse are the ones that get all up in ya grill with their prying questions: Where'd you get your shoes from? What you up to this weekend? Have you got the day off today? Where do you work? What size are you? Want to try it on? Ahh leave me alone! My shoes are none of your business, and just because I looked at one of your tops for a split second doesn't mean I want to try it on. Geez!
Calm. Be Calm. Be Cool. And visit Claire Incorruptible.
The indestructible Claire Incorruptible sells amazing vintage designer wares. I'm talking the big guns here, from the likes of Lagerfeld, Lanvin, De La Renta and Moschino. And not at the big gun prices that you would expect either. Even a poor starving writer who is forced to drink goon from the box can afford a gorgeous Escada Marching Military Blazer. Not that I'm talking about anyone in particular here.

FiveThousand is a subcultural guide to Adelaide, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Adelaide writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FiveThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
