Just the other week we made a spiel about two new spaces via Renew Adelaide, - The Reading Room and Work Shop - but why should we just leave it there? This stuff needs momentum, and momentum we will try to give. If you didn't get the whole Work Shop shtick, well, it's a little room on Hindley Street with four lovely designers making and then selling the fruits of their labour.

About a years work by a collective of wonderful locals sees the fruits of Renew Adelaide finally come to be with two new spaces down our west end. First, the Workshop, four local fashion designers working and retailing in the same west end space.

A little while back we spoke of an Adelaide renewed, yes, a Renewed Adelaide. Born in Newcastle but lovingly trafficked quite cheaply to its adopted mummy Adelaide, the Renew Adelaide scheme is one part genius, two parts Ianto, two parts Brigid, and multiple parts of damn hard work. Want a city with more galleries? More bands? More indie cafes? Well, you should get to this fundraiser tonight and at least buy a beer or donate your Mercedes.
I'm pretty sure Marcus Westbury thinks I'm a dick.
I was at a conference in Westbury's hometown of Newcastle a couple months ago, and there was a sort of miscommunication at a panel discussion thing, and now he thinks I'm a dick. Later on I knocked over a lamp and Westbury had to unplug it because I'd turned it into a "fire hazard".
