Keeping an eye on the cool kids is much easier when they're all sitting at the same table having dinner and you find that chink in the wall and try to go for a quick peek.
That's where TOURIST Magazine come in; this isn't a looky-lu into some fashionista's daily shoe choices, but moreso a view into the better things.
Irving Baby is a bit like the friend you made on the first day of high school. At the time, she was the coolest darn kid on the block and you were quite chuffed that she had chosen you, yes YOU, to be BFFs with.
But over the years other just as cool kids came along, she got a boyfriend, and you starting listening to far too much Joy Division.

There are a few different kinds of Sunday markets in this fair city. You could head over to the Brickworks for some culture and a Metallica t-shirt, perhaps stare quizzically at 10,000 different types of nougat on Rundle Street. Or - and this is what we heartily recommend - go back to school! Yes, Gilles Street Market is back after the winter hibernation, and we are super happy to spend our Sundays at school when all this neat stuff is on offer.
Oh, Germany. All those 'icht's' and 'nichts' and 'ja's' and 'auf wiedersehen's', funny hair, high pants, leather, and that old chestnut Nazism. Versus, berliner buns, hamburgers, the fall of communism, sausages, electro, Kraftwerk, beer, and those krautrock masters, Can. On the balance of all that, things seem about squared up.
Those blissful summer Sundays in the park have edged their way back into our lives, as days lengthen and shirtsleeves can be worn above the elbow without the prickle of goosebumps. We go wherever there is a spot of sun and a mossy patch of green, and we lie there insolently until the very last sliver of light drains away into darkness.
I always thought Valentino was his surname, so clearly I had much to learn about Signor Garavani. Luckily, Matt Tyrnauer's very funny documentary paints an intimate portrait of this wizened Oompa-Loompa as he prepares to celebrate 45 years in haute couture. Valentino's lavish 2007 knees-up turns out to have been his swan song - he retired in 2008, leaving his eponymous label in corporate hands.
Sure, 1994 was a wild time; I didn't need bras, and relationships never got more complicated than holding hands behind the bike shed. But all good things come to an end and so it's refreshing to see the illustrious Miz Sevigny has realised that a little liberty print goes along way. Chloe's still working her signature downtown aesthetic, but this latest unisex range is a far more polished and mature incarnation of what she's been doing all along - the girl is 34 after all.
